When did you start teaching?
I’m not completely sure, but I think it was around 2015/2016. Approximately 6 years ago.
My favourite pole move:
Anything pretty, but I’m also quite partial to a Death Drop simply for the audience shock factor.
My favourite pole class to teach:
I love teaching Tricks classes just for the sheer joy of seeing a student achieve something they have worked towards. I also really enjoy teaching Freestyle, because it’s just FUN!
Why did I start pole?
I did my first pole term on one of those Groupon vouchers in the city at The Pole Gym with my sister. She decided it wasn’t for her, and I was hooked. Fun Fact: Tiff was my very first Instructor.
What do I love about teaching?
I love the friendships and support within the pole community. I love seeing the confidence that so many women gain through this sport and knowing that I have helped to contribute towards that.
Favourite Food:
Ummm, probably cheese or anything Italian

I work in book publishing.

Point your toes, everything looks prettier!

Why did I start pole?
To try something fun and different
What do I love about teaching?
I’ve always loved the sense of accomplishment I feel when I get a trick and my favourite thing about teaching is working with my students to give them that same feeling.

It’s all about consistency. Don’t let a bad week stop you. They happen to all of us.

Strength/dynamic moves, sensual sexy pole, and lyrical dance
Why did I start pole?
I love both the strength and artistic components of pole.
What do I love about teaching?
I love helping students on their pole journey seeing their growth in being more confident and strong. It gives me all the warm fuzzies!

My best friend and I wanted something new and fun!

Helping someone master something they’ve been working on is a really special experience.

When did you start teaching?
2009 (I think.. so long ago now!)
My favourite pole move:
For aesthetics, an Eagle, to do, I love a Deadlift or Iron X.
My favourite pole style:
Contemporary Lyrical choreo or handstand combos
Why did I start pole?
I’m an ex-ballerina so saw it as a way to continue dancing and challenging my body post ballet, with the added freedom and diversity of expression pole can have.
What do I love about teaching?
The immense camaraderie that you see amongst your students building each other up as they master each challenge and grow together.
Favourite Food:
Thai and red wine (and yes I think wine is a food group).
Muggle job:
Own and run Ecole de Pole accredited Instructor Training Courses, global studios & Pole Retreats, also studying a Dip of Legal Services.

No jumping, no kicking, no aircon!!

I wanted to improve my fitness and have some fun while trying something new.

Why did I start pole?
I turned 40 and I wanted to find a fun way to keep fit. Three years later, I worked up the courage to walk through the door.
What do I love about teaching?
Seeing people achieve things they thought were impossible.

Remember everyone progresses at different rates. Everyone’s pole journey is different so supporting everyone, no matter where they’re at, is key.

My friends dragged me to a class and to my surprise I loved it!
What do I love about teaching?
Meeting interesting people and empowering them to get fitter and stronger and witnessing what that does for them in their lives.

Never give up! Just because you didn’t get it today doesn’t mean you won’t achieve it tomorrow. Don’t underestimate the value of training the foundational moves … and train both sides!!!!

2010
My favourite pole move:
Fonji and Kamikaze – a little bit scary, painful to learn, not many people choose to do them, but I do because I can.
My favourite pole class:
Definitely a tricks class. Doubles tricks and acro are always entertaining! Although a pump class is also quietly satisfying
Why did I start pole?
Why not?
What do I love about teaching?
It’s the banter! I get to gently push students out of their comfort zone and I get to hear all about it!

Scotch or liquors or cider or chocolate or tea

Previously a professional horse trainer and coach, working in Europe & America.
